Don't Sleep on This....

Here at The Sai Life, we believe there are important factors to losing weight and building lean muscle. Today we will go over the most important one, sleep.

WHY IS SLEEP SO IMPORTANT?

  • Can help you lose weight and gain lean muscle
  • Can reduce your chances of getting heart disease and diabetes
  • Makes you function better throughout the day
  • Can help you avoid depression
  • Strengthens your immunity
  • Helps the brain function better


According to the National Sleep Foundation guidelines, they advise that healthy adults need between 7 and 9 hours of sleep per night. Now for most people that might be hard to do so...

BUILDING BLOCKS CHALLENGE:
WEEK #2

SLEEP A TOTAL OF 5-6 PER DAY


Trainer’s Tips:

  • Try to take a nap during the day
  • About 30 minutes before you go to bed, dim the lights
  • Go to bed an hour earlier than usual
  • Turn off electronic devices


Even if you don't sleep the whole 5-6 hours at a time, every minute counts including naps.

REMINDER: As this is the Building Blocks Challenge, we want you to continue last week's challenge of working out at least 3 times per week for 30 minutes.
