Let's talk period. Not the punctuation mark.

(Sai) Things I’ve overheard from my female clients through the years...

  • I can’t do squats.
  • No sit-ups today.
  • I can’t run today.
  • Can we take it easy with the heavy weights?
  • No kettlebell swings today.
  • Can we train in the shade?
  • I hate you right now.
  • I don’t want to be here.


These comments were code words telling me that the dreaded time of month has arrived. Despite the pain, they always, always kicked ass! No doubt in my mind that women are waaaaay tougher than men. Full stop.


(Joeslyn) Periods can still be a taboo topic. Even I still don't like to talk about it and say those code words Sai mentioned above. But it is important to talk about it, understand it, and be aware it is different for everyone.

P.S. The Sai Life women have proven that we can get in sync and affect each other...to Sai's detriment. Ha!
